a moment, an enduring hush by `radiophonic:iconradiophonic:

A Moment, an Enduring Hush

I'll never forget that day
standing one-foot balanced
on the perfectly painted lines
of Judgment's desert highway
waiting for you
to roll in with the sands
in waves of stinging accusation
eroding the ankle that held me
to let me fall
and remain still
doomed to become a feast
for vultures of guilt.

Instead you rolled in
on the pulse of a storm
with your eyes electric
flashing slow-blue with the beat
of my woeful spirit
and your words for me
swimming within raindrops
of a million small tragedies
upon the desert floor
bringing the sands to green
playing the soft song
of love's compassion.

probably more images in this piece than I have seen in any other...in quite some time. I held my breath while reading this. THAT is a good thing...if you are wondering! haha

you keep getting better and better

lol, you always hold your breath. ;P
This was the product of spontaneity, maybe a bit rough.

Thanks for the fave/fave removal. :lmao:

Yay, you posted it! And I'm glad to see you ignored my critique. It sucked. :XD:

You already got the technical stuff, so I'm simply going to list phrases that made me love, and then I'm going to tell you about my new earrings.

:bulletpurple: one-foot balanced on the perfectly painted lines
:bulletpurple: eroding the ankle that held me
:bulletpurple: pulse of a storm
:bulletpurple: with your eyes electric flashing slow-blue with the beat
:bulletpurple: million small tragedies - I especially love this, but I can't put my finger on why...

NOW. I bought two pairs of earrings today: one set is three little rectangular chunks of garnet each on silver wire with a lil silver flower down the bottom, and the other is...two miniature red pegs. REAL pegs. Wooden. They work. I LOVE THEM!!!!!

I also bought Roald Dahl's The Witches - not bad for nine dollars all up, don't you think?

PS: YOU ARE THE BIGGEST SNUGGLY-BOTTOM IN ALL OF TOYLAND!!!!!

I love this, it kinda has a "my own private Idao' feel with a 'Highway to Hell' edge and a piano concherto colour

i love the unforced feel of your poetry. it always flows in an organic way, never feeling contrived or, goddess forbid, angsty.

i don't know how much more of this whistling in the dark business i can take. would anyone care terribly much if i just gave up and lost my mind right here and now?
